Current Ontario Rebate Programs

Home Renovation Savings Program (Launching January 28, 2025)
The Ontario government has announced this new program as part of a $10.9 billion, 12-year investment in energy efficiency—the largest in Canadian history.

Key Features: * Rebate Amount: Up to 30% of project costs for eligible home energy efficiency renovations * Eligible Improvements: Includes attic insulation, air sealing, windows, doors, smart thermostats, heat pumps, and more * Expanded Eligibility: Available to homeowners who heat with electricity, propane, or oil (thanks to the Affordable Energy Act of December 2024) * Future Expansion: Later in 2025, the program will expand to include rebates for energy-efficient appliances

This program represents a significant opportunity for Ontario homeowners looking to

Canada Greener Homes Loan Program
While the Canada Greener Homes Grant program is no longer accepting new applicants, the loan program remains open and available.

Key Features: * Loan Amount: Interest-free loans of up to $40,000 * Repayment Term: 10 years * Eligible Projects: Major home retrofits including insulation, air sealing, windows/doors, heating systems, and renewable energy * Requirements: May require pre- and post-retrofit EnerGuide home evaluations

This interest-free loan can make larger insulation and air sealing projects much more
affordable by spreading the cost over time without additional interest charges.
